This is a running, driving Jeep with good potential! We have a lot of Jeep projects in the works and have decided to offer this one AS IS. Please read the entire dscription so you know exactly what you are looking at.
Mechanically the Jeep is very sound; The engine runs well, clutch is good, 5 speed goes through all the gears nicely. It runs and drives like 90k miles should, and these earlier 2.5 engines are very tough. All 4 tires are in pretty decent shape also.
Currently the Jeep is in need of some frame repair. Definitely not the worst we've seen or fixed but a set of frame caps would fix this thing right up. The worst area is the center section where the skid plate mounts - It is currently temporarily welded in place. The section by the rear control arm mounts is getting flakey so it will need a bit of work back there also. The body is better than some; The body channels need a little attention, passenger fender and rocker both have a little bubbling, driver fender is getting flakey - Otherwise the rest of the body is pretty clean. This Jeep does not come with doors, also needs a radio and sound bar speakers - Otherwise it's complete. The soft top is in decent shape except for the rear window, it has a taped up hole and the zipper is stuck.
The Jeep is capable of running and driving on the road, However we are fully disclosing that the frame NEEDS to be repaired to be safe. This is a great start to a project for someone capable of doing some welding and wants a low mileage Jeep on a budget!
